The downtown market, which was previously located at Moore Square, will now be held in Raleigh’s new City Plaza at the south end of Fayeteville Street on Wednesdays from 10am to 2pm starting April 28th through October 27th.
A special Pig Pickin’ event will kickoff the opening of the new market location on April 28th, with Mayor Meeker starting things off by ringing the market’s opening bell. Other activities include BBQ demonstrations from celebrated local chef and BBQ expert Ed Mitchell of The Pit and bluegrass music by Old Habits.
