3rd Annual Cuegrass Festival at The Pitt BBQ ~ April 16th, 2011

Pit Master Ed Mitchell Checks on a Pig at last year's 'Cuefest!

The 3rd Annual ‘Cuegrass Festival is set to return to the Warehouse distric of downtown Raleigh on Saturday April 16th.  All the action will take place along Davie street outside The Pitt BBQ with a jam-packed day full of great ‘cue, local brews and toe-tappin’ bluegrass music! The folks at The Pit will have the pig cookers fired up to serve plenty of their famous Eastern North Carolina-style barbecue and offer a selection of local brews.

  1. I love Cuegrass Festival. Didn’t realize it was coming up so soon. I’ll be there. Thanks for the posting.

  2. Thanks for posting. Excited to to party with American Aquarium and The Pitt.

  3. Jeff – Yeah, it snuck up on me too. I’m looking forward to attending again. Always a great time!

Maura – Thanks for checking out my blog. I’ve heard good things about American Aquarium and am looking forward to hearing them perform!

  4. Is that $5 a person donation required? Took the family the past 2 years when it was free but at $5 I am looking at $25 before food! The kids only last an hour or so. Not sure I can afford it.

  5. Nutter,

That is a good question. Their website isn’t clear if that is a “suggested” donation or required. I will see what I can find out, but you may want to call them to be sure (919.890.4500). In the meantime, if I get the scoop I will post it here. Thanks for checking out the blog!

  6. Ok, I heard back from the Pitt. The $5 fee is required * BUT ONLY FOR ADULTS*. Kids can enter for free. All the proceeds from the entry fee are going to charity. Hope that helps!

  7. Super excited for this 🙂

  8. Hope you had a great time Erin! Glad the weather held off!
