Mint Julep Jazz Quintet at Beyu Cafe’
With their little big band lineup of 4 horns, rhythm section, and vocalist, the Mint Julep Jazz Band recreates the hot jazz sounds of the 1920′s, 1930′s, and early 1940′s through arrangements based on original recordings from the jazz age and swing era. The Mint Julep Jazz Band has a vintage sound that’s always fresh!

NC Museum of Art: “0 to 60: The Experience of Time Through Contemporary Art”
Organized by the NCMA and Penland School of Crafts, this new art exhibit, which opens this Sunday, highlights a current trend in contemporary art: exploring the intersection of time and art by artists who employ innovative and experimental techniques.
When: Exhibit opens Sunday March 24th & runs through August 11, 2013
