Weekend Picks April 15-17th


Lots of great activities on the calendar the next few days. The weather should be perfect to get out and explore. Here are my top picks for things to do this weekend.

Friday April 15th
Pie & Beer Pairing
This Friday, Fullsteam Brewery and East Durham Pie Company join forces for a special pie-and-beer pairing event. Guest will enjoy three slices of pie paired with Fullsteam beers. The 7:30pm seating is sold out but as of today tickets are still available for the 9pm seating.

Ellis Dyson and the Shambles Perform in Raleigh
Ellis Dyson and the Shambles play high energy ragtime/old time music. Catch them on Friday at The Stag’s Head beer garden on Glenwood Avenue in Raleigh. No Cover.

Saturday April 16th
Cuegrass Festival
The Pit’s 8th Annual ‘Cuegrass Festival returns to the warehouse district of downtown Raleigh Saturday, April 16, with a jam-packed day full of great ‘cue, local brews and toe-tappin’ bluegrass music!

The Scrap Exchange DIY Festival
DIY Fest (Do-It-Yourself Festival) brings together artists, makers, and other creative individuals to celebrate Durham’s innovative do-it-yourself spirit.Enjoy a variety of fun-filled indoor and outdoor activities, including maker stations, artist booths, live demos, live music, food trucks, and presentations.

Durham Co-op Anniversary Party
Celebrate the Co-op’s first year in business with a party from 1-8pm with $3 beers, free samples from local vendors and live music throughout the day.


Sunday 17th
Chatham Street Chowdown
This sunday marks the return of the downtown Cary food truck rodeo. Featuring 19 trucks and 3 local breweries along Chatham Street. While your there I recommend stopping by the new Bonds Brother Brewing.

Next Week
If you are into craft beer you wouln’t want to miss Brewgaloo on Saturday in downtown Raleigh. There will be 85 breweries and more than 50 food trucks to enjoy. Avoid the line and order your drink tickets now!o
