Weekend Picks: December 9th – 11th

Maude’s Garden & Coffee ~ North Raleigh

It’s going to be a bit cold the next few days, but don’t let that stop you from getting out and exploring. Here are my top picks of things to do this weekend!

Friday

Vita Vite
Join Vita Vite Art Gallery and Wine Bar Friday 7-11pm as they celebrate first anniversary! Drop by on Friday evening to enjoy live music, a festive photo booth and delectable desserts. Vita Vite features a variety of 20 carefully-selected wines and artwork from 10 local and regional artists.

Saturday

Holiday Open House at Maude’s Garden & Coffee
Maude’s is a cool combination of garden and coffee shop in North Raleigh. On Saturday from 12-5 they are hosting an open house featuring the owner and roaster from their coffee supplier, Carrboro Coffee Company. They will also have live music and specials on coffee drinks. The Garden shop features Original art for the garden and home by artists from across the country. Think handmade wind chimes, metal art, and one of a kind birdhouses and mosaics. They are also the Triangle’s largest selection of miniature and fairy garden accessories.

Historic Oakwood Candlelight Tours
Walk through history this holiday season and enjoy one of Raleigh’s oldest Christmas traditions. This nonprofit fundraising event features 12 properties in Historic Oakwood that will be open to the public during this year’s tour.  Tour the properties at your own pace, in any order, alloting about 3 hours to visit all the homes. Each is staffed with docents to enlighten you on the rich history of the property and community. December 10 & 11, 2016 from 1:00 – 7:00 PM both days (All tickets valid for EITHER day)

Downtown Food and Flea Holiday Market in Cary
This Sunday enjoy a holiday market with tons of vendors in Ashworth Village in downtown Cary. The market features art and vintage finds, hand made crafts, holiday music, and humble pig food truck.
