The touring production of CHICAGO comes to the Durham Performing Arts Center in May for a limited engagement with performances Friday, May 12th through Sunday, May 14th.
The show stars Dylis Croman as Roxie Hart, Terra C. MacLeod as Velma Kelly, and Eddie George, yes the former NFL Star and Heisman Trophy Winner, as the flamboyant Billy Flynn. The hit musical is the recipient of six Tony Awards, two Olivier Awards, a Grammy, thousands of standing ovations and is now the #1 longest-running American Musical in Broadway history. It’s the classic tale of fame and fortune with one show-stopping song after another and some of the most amazing dancing you’ve ever seen on stage.
Whether you’re looking to see your very first musical, a fan of the award winning film and want to experience the show live on stage, or you’ve seen it before and want to recapture the magic, CHICAGO always delivers!
Tickets start at just $35 and can be purchased by going to dpacnc.com or via the Ticket Center at DPAC either in person at 123 Vivian St. Durham, NC 27701 or by phone at 919.281.0818.

This would be a great treat! I’ve never seen a live musical.
Hi! Would love to see this musical!
Thanks for the giveaway!
Chicago is one of my favorite musicals and I would enjoy seeing it performed at DPAC, which is the best venue to see a play.
Love DPAC! My husband and I saw Lyle Lovett there in November and had a blast!
I have always loved the music of Chicago and seeing this show live would be awesome! We have been trying to buy tickets but haven’t had the money due to some stressful family times, winning would be such a treat for my husband and I!
I haven’t been to the DPAC since Wicked! I went with my mom and would love the chance to be there with her again!
This is on our list of things to do in the triangle! What a great joy to see this musical at DPAC!
There’s not a bad seat in the house at the DPAC! I most enjoy the traveling Broadway shows (A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder, among many others!), and I’d love to see Chicago!
DPAC is a fantastic venue for musicals, plays and concerts. Was there this past fall for Yes featuring Anderson, Wakeman and Rabin. The legendary prog rockers were amazing!
I’ve been talking about the movie/musical Chicago with my friends a lot just in this past week! We’ve been discussing how amazing the music is and we were just saying that Chicago needs to be our next movie night. Seeing it live would be even better!
Chicago is one of my favorite shows! The music and dancing are great! I’d love to take my Mom to DPAC for this show 💕
We saw the Book of Mormon at DPAC last year – awesome! DPAC is pretty much the only thing worth driving to Durham for.
I would love to see Chicago live. I have only seen movies or videos.
so much fun!!
I have attended DPAC Broadway shows from the beginning, and they’ve made me laugh and moved me to tears! I’ve never seen Chicago and would love to see it!
I have the absolute most selfless mom in the entire world. She is an amazing woman that I aim to emulate on a daily basis. I just moved to D.C. And unfortunately cannot come home for Mother’s Day due to the high cost and would love to treat her to something even though I can’t be there. Hopefully y’all can help me give my mom a Mother’s Day to remember!
Hey I’d love to see this show, that would be awesome! I’ve seen so many great shows at DPAC, but a highlight in my mind was taking my thoroughly unprepared wife to see that Lil’ Old Band from Texas, ZZ Top . What a great show! I hadn’t seen them in years, and they still are kicking out great music. DPAC is one of my favorite places to see a show because the venue is great, sound is great, and mostly the service staff if awesome. Friendly and helpful.
I would love to see Chicago! I recently did a dance performance to the Cell Block Tango, which is my absolute favorite part. I’ve never see the show live, but would love to take my mom!
Congratulations Aida Asady! You were the randomly selected winner of two free Tickets to see Chicago on May 14th. I will reach out to you with instructions. YOu can also email me at TriangleExplorer at gmail.com
I haven’t gotten to go to dpac yet and would love the chance!
Eddie George was on the first cover of Madden I ever bought. I can honestly say I didn’t think I’d get the chance to ever see him in a musical
DPAC is a great venue to see musicals. I’ve not seen Chicago live (just the movie version) and would be thrilled to win such a treat. Thanks for the Mother’s Day giveaway!
Please pick me! This mom of 4 has NEVER been to DPAC or any Broadway musical for that matter. I can’t think of a better show to see as my first than CHICAGO! What a dream come true!
I visited DPAC for the first time this week, and it was every bit as classy as I had heard. I haven’t seen Chicago live and would be delighted to go! Thanks for the opportunity to enter this drawing.
I have had the opportunity to see multiple shows at DPAC but my favorite is probably Book of Mormon. Person who took me also scored tickets to the elusive VIP lounge where we esvedropped on the conversations of super rich Duke students…eye opening!
Love your blog. I look for it every week!!
My 83year old mom lives in Germany and I miss her so much! Mother’s day is always hard, and going to the DPAC would surely brighten my day.
DANKE!
Chicago is a great musical and DPAC is a perfect venue. It would be a great date night to get tickets. Thanks for the chance.
I recently moved to Chapel Hill. Getting to go see Chicago would be a great way to to get to experience the local culture!
I’ve always had a great time at the DPAC, whether it was at concerts or comedy shows or musicals like Book of Mormon. I’m excited for CHICAGO because I grew up in Columbus, Ohio, and had posters of Eddie George on the wall after he won the Heisman at Ohio State. To see him performing again on a completely different type of stage would be really exciting!
I took my dad to see the Newsies at DPAC a few years ago and we had a blast. I’ve never taken my mother to a show there but it’s about time I do. Plus she LOVES Chicago!
Great venue and great show to see on the day we show our love for mothers 🙂
Saw Trevor Noah at the DPAC last week and it was the funniest show I have seen in a long time. Polite and diverse crowd.
Congratulations Aida Asady! You were the randomly selected winner of two free Tickets to see Chicago on May 14th. I will reach out to you with instructions. YOu can also email me at TriangleExplorer at gmail.com
I would love to see Chicago because I’ve heard so many good things about it. It’s always been one of my dream to see a broadway show. This would make a excellent gift for my mom and I
