2012 Carrboro Music Festival

Carolina Chocolate Drops @ the Carrboro Music Festival, 9-24-06

In case you haven’t heard, the 2012 Carrboro Music festival is tomorrow Sunday September 30th. This is a great family friendly event featuring over a hundred musical groups playing at various locations in downtown Carrboro throughout the day and night. Best of all, it is FREE!

The day long, free festival features all styles of music at numerous indoor and outdoor venues around downtown Carrboro. In the space of a few hours (and within a few blocks) a listener can hear Bluegrass, Folk, Jazz, Country, Rock & Roll, Classical, and World Music. There remains a consistent effort to showcase Triangle area performers and the varied musical styles they represent. All of the performers donate their talents to foster a strong sense of community and as a way to reveal their talents to a wider audience.

For additional details check out the event website. You can also view a stage location map along with the schedule of performers here.

  6. Zune and iPod: Most people crmapoe the Zune to the Touch, but after seeing how slim and surprisingly small and light it is, I consider it to be a rather unique hybrid that combines qualities of both the Touch and the Nano. It’s very colorful and lovely OLED screen is slightly smaller than the touch screen, but the player itself feels quite a bit smaller and lighter. It weighs about 2/3 as much, and is noticeably smaller in width and height, while being just a hair thicker.
