Runologie ~ “Run For Good”

This past Sunday the local running community and the awesome citizens of Raleigh came together to support three great causes at the “Run for Good” event at Runologie and State of Beer in Downtown Raleigh.  Runners spent 4 hours logging miles on three treadmills setup along Hillsborough Street on what turned out to be an unusually warm February afternoon. Jase Tischer and Omer Abdulrahman each spent the entire 4 hours on their own treadmill while Runologie relay team made up of Brent Francese, Gavin Coombs, and Alex Warren took turns on a third.

Each team ran over 30 miles and together they raised over $4K in donations for three nonprofits: ACLU of North CarolinaCommon Cause NC, and Team Tassy, which pays for job creation and job training programs to help eliminate poverty in Haiti.

Runologie is Raleigh’s only locally owned and operated running store and regularly host special running events and training programs. They hold a weekly group run that meets each Thursday at 6pm (with a 5:40 core session beforehand) at the store. It is a great way to check out their shop, connect with other local runners, and log some solid miles in downtown Raleigh. To learn more about Runologie and their upcoming group runs and programs you can follow them on facebook, instagram and twitter.
