Jubala Village Coffee to Open 2nd Location in Downtown Raleigh!
Jubala Village Coffee has been a big hit with North Raleigh coffee lovers since they opened in Lafayette Village a little over four years ago. Yesterday they made the big announcement that the city has approved their plans to open a second location inside the beltline along Hillsborough Street in the new Aloft Hotel currently under construction across the street from the iconic NC State Memorial Bell Tower.
Jubala’s second location is slated to open later this year and will serve Counter Culture Coffee just like the original, but it will also have a larger kitchen enabling them to provide a similar but enhanced food menu including additional breakfast offerings and weekend brunch. For more info and to get updates on when the new space will open follow Jubala on facebook and twitter.

Shop Local: The Gift of Local Coffee
If you have followed my blog for while you know I am a big fan of coffee and enjoy frequenting the many great local coffee shops we have here in the Triangle. As we approach the holidays I wanted to share that local coffee shops are also a great source of gifts for the coffee geek in your life. Most shops sell bags of fresh locally roasted coffee and home coffee brewing equipment like pour over cones, mugs, and coffee servers. If you aren’t sure what to get another convenient option is a gift card. Your local coffee shop is a great way to shop local. Below is a quick list of some of my “go to” places for local coffee, home brewing gear, and gift cards.
Local Coffee Shops – Gift Cards Available

Cafe’ de los Muertos – Downtown Raleigh
Caffe Driade – Chapel Hill
Cocoa Cinnamon* – Durham
Jubala Village Coffee* – North Raleigh
